"The Catch"  (in progress)
Watercolor, 15" x 28"
©Carmella Tuliszewski

I have spent many happy hours on this so far and plan to spend many more.
I'm finding the molds really challenging.  The shinny ones especially because the reflections go all wonky in the rise and fall of the patterns.  And the coloring is so different from one to another.
But that's also why I like working on this piece so much!

I'll be back!

  1. Thanks for sharing your progress, you are doing an amazing job! I can only imagine how challenging it is to paint the reflections in the molds.

  2. It really is, much more than I anticipated. Its all transparent watercolor with the only opaque or white touches in the very brighttest of the highlights to touch up areas left from the masking fluid. If you try to add white to a copper color to lighten it just ruins it.
So working slowly in between other projects.
